After listening to Sonic Youth’s latest album The Eternal, I found myself remarking on how rare it was for a nearly 30-yr-old band to maintain such relevance, vitality and, not to mention, artistic integrity. This A>D>D performance on Pitchfork is a fine example. This song is an early favorite of mine on the album, which is no surprise as I always gravitate towards Lee’s songs. I love the way they smile at eachother around 2:30. Made me smile.
One of five songs performed, all are very much worth checking out—especially Schizophrenia.
