Charles’ contribution to a Love & Rockets tribute album is a stellar example of the incredible pop music genius emanating out of this guy. Starting in some sort of noir-ish bar band place and quickly moving into the best Strokes song ever made and, not long after that, evolving into the best Cars song ever made. All the while sounding like quintessential Frank Black Francis. It’s songs like this that never let me give up hope.
