During these early winter days when we fondly recall the sunny happiness of summer and the festive action of fall, it’s easy to lose ourselves in the vast gray and white expanse stretching out ahead of us. Our beloved David Lynch has preemptively come to the rescue with a brilliant bit of electropop to fight off the mean reds. Or the blues. Or whatever color best describes your mood.
I love that even through all the processing, you can hear that it’s David’s voice at the heart of this song—his idiosyncratic and anachronistic drawl scattering all the troubles away and comforting us to no end.
