coming soon: sunset rubdown "dragonslayer"

I’ve become a Spencer Krug superfan, which isn’t news to anyone who knows me well.  Late in 2008, we had a new Wolf Parade album, which was fantastic.  Earlier this year, we had a new Swan Lake album, which was superb.  Now, in a couple weeks, we’ll have a new Sunset Rubdown album which carries on the tradition of the most recent Swan Lake album of being eponymous with an ’80s sci-fi/fantasy film.  NPR is currently streaming Dragonslayer in its entirity in advance of its June 23 release date.

It’s playing on repeat here, and further intensifying the superfandom.  Early standout track: “Apollo And The Buffalo And Anna Anna Anna Oh!”
